Every year, the Berliner Philharmoniker hold a kind of classical-music fête with a bright, cheerful concert to end the season. In 2009 about 22,000 people had come together at the Berlin Waldbühne to enjoy the traditional summer picnic concert. The theme of the evening was “Russian rhythms”, and star conductor Sir Simon Rattle, the Berliner Philharmoniker and Yefim Bronfman, one of the most famous pianists in the world today, presented a superb selection of Russian music. Gautier Capuçon celebrates the fifth edition of his festival "Un Eté en France" with a new series of free outdoor concerts. For this new edition, the cellist is inviting back winners who have participated in previous tours. It's an opportunity to see how these young musicians have developed in the early stages of their careers. Sharing, transmission, emotions, discoveries, unusual moments, and behind-the-scenes glimpses are all on the agenda for this new summer tour. An inspiring journey through authentic French towns and villages: in the Var region in Signes, in Corsica in Porto-Vecchio then Bastia, in the Périgord region in Saint-Félix-de-Villadeix, then in Rivesaltes in the Pyrénées-Orientales for an exceptional finale with Schubert's Octet.
Recorded at the Olympia, this concert is like a travel journal dedicated to Paris, a city that Gautier Capuçon particularly adores. At the end of 2023, the French cellist released an album entitled "Destination Paris," where classical music rubs shoulders with pop, musicals, and even film soundtracks.

The renowned orchestra presents the world's biggest annual classical open air concert live from their hometown Vienna, Austria on Thursday, May 29th, 2014. The Summer Night Concert with the Vienna Philharmonic is an annual open-air event that takes place in the magical setting of the Schönbrunn Palace Park in Vienna with the palace as a magnificent backdrop. Everyone is invited to come to this unique occasion with free admission. Each year up to 100,000 people can take up the invitation, or enjoy on radio and TV in over 60 countries.

Known for his mournful "Adagio for Strings," Samuel Barber was never quite fashionable. This acclaimed film is a probing exploration of his music and melancholia. Performance, oral history, musicology, and biography combine to explore the life and music of one of America’s greatest composers. Features Thomas Hampson, Leonard Slatkin, Marin Alsop and many more of the world's leading experts on Barber's music, with tributes from composers Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Virgil Thomson and William Schuman. The film was broadcast on PBS, and screened at nine film festivals internationally, with three best-of awards. It was named a Recording of the Year 2017 by MusicWeb International.

Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli grew up in Lajatico, a rural village in Tuscany, where his family still farms nearby. In July 2007, on the slopes of his ancient hill town, a special theater was constructed for a one-night-only concert of his greatest popular hits along with new songs performed to honor the occasion. Some famous musical friends dropped by and the magical result is Andrea Bocelli - Vivere - Live in Tuscany, premiering this December on PBS.
