On June 28, 2014, a 26-year old Terence Crawford (23-0, 16 KO) faced an undefeated Cuban boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa, who was 32 years old with a record of 23-0 in a lightweight title-defense fight. Gamboa was on a 23-fight win streak with 16 KO wins. Crawford was the taller of the two by 7 cms and also had a 23 cm reach advantage.
