A successful, womanizing middle-aged man decides to move out of the house he shares with his wife after she confesses to having an affair. He looks for a new place to live and ends up moving into his wife's lover's apartment as a roommate. The husband begins to take an interest in the artistic work of the lover and coaches him for a big job interview. Unpolished and ultra-pragmatic industrialist Jean-Jacques Castella reluctantly attends Racine's tragedy "Berenice" in order to see his niece play a bit part. He is taken with the play's strangely familiar-looking leading lady Clara Devaux. During the course of the show, Castella soon remembers that he once hired and then promptly fired the actress as an English language tutor. He immediately goes out and signs up for language lessons. Thinking that he is nothing but an ill-tempered philistine with bad taste, Clara rejects him until Castella charms her off her feet.

Kotsos, the representative Greek, is sent to Brussels to meet Mrs. Evropaidou and take part in the 1st EEC Conference. He meets representatives from other member countries, who follow him to Greece to teach him European customs through fast-paced, simple, and understandable lessons. First of all, "Honor and Ethics," taught by the German advisor. "Reform of Public Life," taught by the French advisor, "Marital Jealousy," taught by the Dutch advisor, etc. Kotsos, like a good student, tries to change his mindset and adapt to the new circumstances, and then does his best to satisfy the nine beautiful representatives of the European states who come to Greece to assess his progress. They party with him and leave him physically exhausted, but award him the gold medal for his excellent "performance."
Oscar and Peter land a career-making opportunity when a Chicago tycoon chooses them to compete for the design of a cultural center. The tycoon mistakenly believes that Oscar is gay and has him spy on his mistress Amy. Oscar goes along with it and ends up falling in love with Amy.
